The Value of an Online Degree

Regional accreditation is the most widely recognized form of accreditation. Did you know that online universities offer both national accreditation, which is becoming more widely acceptable, and regional accreditation, depending on the university?

According to a study in 2009 by the Department of Education, students who take all or some of their courses online tend to perform better than their peers, who are physically in class. There are a number of online schools and campus based institutions, and a lot of them give students the option of earning an MBA degree online. Courses are usually taken online, although some schools do require students to have some visits to campus.

As long as their schools are properly accredited and chose to participate, students can pay for their online degrees using the same government sources as traditional students. On that note, a higher price tag doesn’t always mean a better education. Some schools simply charge more than others.

Overall, the value of an online degree can not be understated. Sometimes, you can send a military transcript to these online schools and get financial assistance or advance a career in the military. Sending your military transcript is easy, and can be done when you talk to the right person in the military.

Online universities offer people the chance to enroll in accredited online mba programs, real estate agent courses, online leadership degree courses, bachelor of business programs, and an array of other academic programs. You can even enroll in online film courses, if that is your thing. Online schools let you learn at your own pace, and learn whatever you want on your own hours.

I got an online degree a year ago. I worked full time throughout the schooling, which I found very beneficial because I could stay very busy and not be distracted, plus even though I didn’t get the college experience, I benefited.
